To stay at the Westmoreland Ronald McDonald House, guests must meet the following criteria:

• Guests must have a child (up to age 21) receiving medical care at any local healthcare facility.
• A photo ID is required for all guests aged 18 and above.
• Guests must live beyond a 12-mile radius from Westmoreland House. We also welcome international families.
• Referrals must come from the patient’s social worker, nurse, surgery scheduler, or other medical professionals. We cannot accept self-referrals.
• Our rooms accommodate a maximum of six guests.
• Guests must not have been exposed to or currently have an infectious disease.
• Registered sex offenders are not permitted.
• We cannot accommodate individuals with convictions of child abuse or domestic violence, or those under investigation for such cases.
• A referral does not guarantee eligibility or a room. Please call (585) 442-5437 to confirm availability.

To stay at Ronald McDonald House Within The Hospital at URMC, guests must meet the following criteria:

• Guests must have a child (up to age 21) receiving care at URMC.
• A photo ID is required for all guests aged 18 and above.
• Referrals must come from the patient’s social worker, nurse, surgery scheduler, or other medical professionals. We cannot accept self-referrals.
• House Within the Hospital accommodates up to two guests per room.
• Guests under 18 are not permitted.
• Guests must not have been exposed to or currently have an infectious disease.
• Registered sex offenders are not permitted.
• We cannot accommodate guests with convictions of child abuse or domestic violence, or those under investigation for such cases.

To stay at the Sleeping Rooms at Unity Hospital, guests must meet the following criteria:

• Guests must have a child (up to age 21) receiving care at Unity Hospital.
• A photo ID is required for all guests aged 18 and above.
• Referrals must come from the patient’s social worker, nurse, surgery scheduler, or other medical professionals. We cannot accept self-referrals.
• The sleeping rooms accommodate up to two guests per room.
• Registered sex offenders are not permitted.
• We cannot accommodate guests with convictions of child abuse or domestic violence, or those under investigation for such cases.
