With your help, we provide families with better access to the care their sick child needs.

Stay With Us

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY, provides a home away from home for families while their child receives medical care.

We offer lodging, meals, transportation, and welcoming spaces for rest and relief. Families can access our Family Rooms within our partnering hospitals, the Guest Pass program at Golisano Children’s Hospital for meal vouchers and daytime respite, and the Rejuvenation Room at House Within the Hospital for relaxation and comfort.

For overnight stays at Westmoreland House, House Within the Hospital, or our Sleeping Rooms at Unity Hospital, please request a referral from your healthcare provider or social worker.

The Westmoreland House

Our 24-bedroom House at 333 Westmoreland Drive offers a welcoming and restful space for families traveling to Rochester for their child’s medical care.

Families have access to private bedrooms with baths, a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary laundry, quiet lounges, healing gardens, play areas, and nourishing meals and snacks. Transportation to area medical facilities is available.

A referral from a healthcare provider or social worker is required.

The House within the Hospital

Located just steps from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Golisano Children’s Hospital, our 7-bedroom House Within The Hospital offers a calming and supportive environment for families of critically ill or injured children.

Each room includes a private bathroom, and families have access to a kitchen and laundry facilities.

A referral from a healthcare provider or social worker is required.

The Family Room at Golisano Children's Hospital

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Golisano Children’s Hospital provides a comforting space for pediatric patients and their families to relax and recharge.

Families can enjoy complimentary coffee, cold beverages, healthy snacks, and fresh-baked cookies. The Family Room also offers laundry facilities and shower facilities for added comfort.

The Hospitality Cart at Rochester General Hospital

Our Pediatric Hospitality Cart at Rochester General Hospital brightens hospital stays for children, postpartum mothers, and their families by delivering toys, books, activities, and snacks directly to their rooms. Designed to provide comfort and joy, the cart helps make hospital visits a little more enjoyable for patients and their loved ones.

AC6 Cart

The AC6 cart is a stationary hospitality cart designed to provide nutritious snack bags for families attending appointments. Strategically located near the Silver Elevators at Strong Memorial Hospital, the cart offers families easy access to essential support both before and after their appointments.

The Family Room at URMC Mental Health and Wellness

The Ronald McDonald Mental Health and Wellness Family Room at URMC provides a supportive space for families of pediatric patients receiving care in the Department of Psychiatry.

This calming room includes a play area, kitchenette with snacks and coffee, laundry facilities, and resources for mental health support.

The Family Room at Unity Hospital

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Unity Hospital offers a peaceful space for pediatric families to rest and recharge. Families can enjoy complimentary coffee, cold beverages, healthy snacks, and fresh-baked cookies.

The Sleeping Rooms at Unity Hospital

Two sleeping rooms are available for new parents at the August Family Birth Place to stay close to their babies, and for families with children at the Golisano Neuro Rehab Center to remain nearby.

A referral from a healthcare provider or social worker is required.

House to Home

House to Home supports families with medically complex children by bringing essential care, telehealth services using TytoCare, durable medical equipment, and vital resources directly to their homes. A Community Health Worker on the mobile unit helps guide families through the process and connects them to additional resources, ensuring they receive the support they need.

A referral from the URMC Complex Care Team is required, and the patient must be enrolled in complex care.
