Westmoreland House Volunteers
At our Westmoreland Drive House, volunteers are essential in preparing rooms, cleaning common areas, driving our vans, maintaining the kitchen, and beautifying the gardens. Each task is a step toward making families feel at home.
House Within the Hospital Volunteers
Serve at House Within The Hospital (HWTH) on the fifth floor Strong Memorial Hospital’s. Volunteers here clean and prepare bedrooms and common areas, organize supplies, and provide critical support to staff and families, creating a sanctuary within the hospital.
Hospitality Carts Volunteers
Join our efforts with the hospitality cart on the Ambulatory Care Unit (AC6) at Strong Memorial Hospital and the pediatric hospitality cart at Rochester General Hospital. Volunteers prepare and distribute snack bags, and bring joy, snacks, and toys to children, brightening their hospital stay and making a difference during their outpatient appointments.
Family Room Volunteers
Our Family Rooms, located in Golisano Children’s Hospital, Unity Hospital, and Strong Memorial Hospital, provide a haven for families. Volunteers here greet guests with warmth and provide essential hospitality, offering a moment of respite.
Special Events Volunteers
Be a vital part of our vibrant community events and crucial fundraising efforts. As a Special Events volunteer, you’ll help generate essential funds that keep our doors open for families in need. Represent Ronald McDonald House at third-party fundraisers, attend check acceptance appearances, and assist with major events like our Gala and the WBEE Radiothon. Additionally, contribute to heartwarming events involving our hospital partners and families, such as our annual Family Reunion. Your involvement will make a significant impact, helping us support families during their most challenging times.
Children and Young Volunteers
Discover the joy of making a difference. There are countless ways for you to get involved and bring happiness to those who need it most. Participate in our Make-a-Meal program with your family, where you can prepare comforting meals for families staying with us. You can also organize toy drives, collect pop tabs, gather supplies, or decorate brown paper bags filled with snacks—each small effort makes a big impact in spreading cheer and supporting our community.
